Awesome weekend

Post by solutionsagent »

Hello Friends.

I just had an awesome weekend! My creativity exploded! One night I created a 2-3 very good pieces, then the following day another 7! Probably 10 ideas in 2 days. I think that is excellent! I learned alot about the FX during that time. There are many mistakes and it seems difficult to edit since I am not very familiar with the Micro Edit as of yet. Does it get easier after time? I think 10 ideas in 2 days is great considering that sometimes I only create 1 or 3 a month.

How is your creative flow?

Some weeks effortless - some weeks effortfull, but...

I think the key to success and productivity is to keep 'doing it' regardless of how you feel and to concentrate more on the bigger picture instead of being carried away by the 'excitement' of the 'flowing time'.

For me, 'creative energy' and actually 'creating it' are two totally different aspects of a project. I meet a lot of talented people, but very few people seem to be able to move beyond the initial inspiration and instead get bogged down in the design process by moving from idea to idea. Unfortunately their seems to be a direct relationship between creativity and agony. On the other hand, with a keyboard such as the Fantom 'creativity' is definately on the sunny side of life.

Just to different degrees. I work as a producer/session player in studio every day. I have to keep the creativity coming. OF course some projects are pretty run-of-the-mill, and almost boring, and the client doesn't recognize or care about a lot of creativity.
The biggest help to staying creative is listening to a ton of music. There are ways to put country licks into jazz, jazz licks into country, rock licks into blues.
