Bon Jovi's 'Keep the Faith' piano sound

Post by Kingy75 »

Hi all,

Trying to find a suitable piano sound for Bon Jovi's 'Keep the Faith' and just looking for some opinions on what others have used.

The recording sounds (to my ears anyway) like a honky tonk or upright kind of sound rather than a grand.

Does anyone hear any effects on the piano? Or do we think that's the guitar fx?

Thanks :)

It's a slight detuned piano (honky tonk/saloon) upright sound with some chorus. Lows are cut, and the mids are accentuated via eq.

I don't use my Fantom on this. I use Mainstage. I use a CP70 VST layered with Kontakt's Upright, then eq and chorus till I hit the sound.
