Stereo samples to mono?

I've always wondered if there was a way to do this. I have a lot of old samples recorded in stereo from a mono source. Is there any way to erase either the left or right side to restore some of the memory? Is resampling the best way?

I don't believe you can do this inside the Fantom. I always use Audacity for that.

Its along time since i looked at the X but i think if you use the Audio track feature it may have a Mono option.
also before resampling, set the sample to keys in performance mode and on the channel being used set your output from A to 1 and then resample to the audio track. (assuming the audio track feature allows your to choose Mono/Stereo.
