Memory Ram Expansion Question

Post by eamusik2008 »

Hello everyone,

I have 2 questions regarding memory expansion. First, if I purchase more ram and install it, will my samples and multisamples be deleted? Also, I was wondering if this specification fits the Fantom X.

LOW DENSITY 64X64 3.3 VOLT SDRAM 7.5NS NON ECC UNBUFFERED (NON REGISTERED) PC133

I am not sure what the low density means so this is why I want to confirm

Thanks a million!

RAm is just temporary storage for either sound you are sampling or sampled sound that you load off a card, so no you won't loose anything when adding RAM. RAM always looses all info when the power is turned off.

There is no permannent internal storage. That's what the CF or SD card is for (or hooking your Fantom up to your PC/Mac).

I know, it's confusing... :o(

Thanks for the clarification Andy. That's too bad becasue my memory card is full and the internal storage is to small. I guess this is why some people have 2 fantoms lol
