saving a recording

Post by gorightly »

I've having trouble figuring out how to save a recording. After recording a song, it does not show up on the song list so that I can save/load it. Any suggestions?

Hi gorightly,

To save a song you need to press [SAVE/LOAD] and select whichever of the options you like.

See p.198 of the owner's manual "Saving a Song (Save)"

Andy: Therein lies the problem. For some reason I can not get the Save/Load screen, which is shown on page 198, to come up. I just can't get to the screen in question.

The other problem seems to be that when I record a song, nothing shows up on the song list. I have tried to select load in the Song Edit screen and nothing happens. What to do?

Hi -

Songs are a bit different from samples - after sampling, the sample shows up on the sample list and you can save it. When creating a song, it won't show up on the song list til AFTER you save it.

While you have the song in the temporary work area, you can press the Save/Load button (Top of the synth/Right side of the display on the X series) That should bring up a screen with 8 options - then select the appropriate 'save' option (either w/samples, or if no samples, just save song, etc) then you can create a name and save it (either internally or to a card)- after that, your song will appear on the song list.
