Where online can I purchase the PC Card Compact Flash adapte

I've having a hard time finding any actual peripheral company that still sells a compact flash PC Card adapter. I've checked Sandisk, Belkin, etc... I do see some on eBay, but I'd be interested to see what I can purchase otherwise...
Also, is it difficult to locate 1 gb of Compact Flash anymore? I'm not having much luck finding that either... This is for my Fantom XR.
Thoughts? Suggestions? online store links? Do you have one you'd like to sell?
Dave

Simple, type in "X6 memory" on Ebay and if fourniersean is selling it, it will work. Hell I got a 2 Gig flash with adapter and it works great as well as his 512 meg upgrade. Keep in mind the 2 gig is not supposed to work, but it does great. Can't go wrong. On top of that you'll get a sampling CD with tons of samples, nothing I can use, but a bonus!

Dave, where are you located? Canada?
I have a spare one that I don't use. I'll be glad to send it to you. Send me your address at pablo at bleyer dot org.
Cheers!

Yup... I'm in Canada... Moncton, New Brunswick... I even tried looking on Kijiji.ca for one, but no luck.
Thanks man! I totally didn't expect that sort of response...
I'll email my address to you...

Flash Memory?

This flash memory that you got for your fantom, could you explain more about it. Such as do you get a full 2gig from it? does it allow you to use any flash?
I'm thinking to pick one up (still available on ebay) - I have asked the seller about details, but he has not responded as of yet.
Just don't want to waste my time and money . . .
Thanks,
Syphus

I'm about as new to knowing about the flash memory as you are...

Probably not the best one to ask... Although, from reading the manual and looking on the net, I guess you can use the Compact Flash (with PC Card adapter) to load patches and samples and stuff onto it...
The internal expandable RAM (up to 512 mb for my Fantom XR) gets wiped when you reboot. The onboard 16 MB of memory (again, for the Fantom XR) will retain any data placed into it, since it's like flash memory too.
As far as Roland is concerned (I confirmed this with a Roland rep in Toronto) the max is 1 GB. However, there are people that say 2 GB works as well.

I use SD cards in mine and have never had any issues. the trick is to find the right hardware to play nice with the fantom. this is the link to the card i use. Its a US company but since its panasonic I'm sure they will ship anywhere for a price

Yes 2 full gigs, it shows on my keyboard right now used 2.2 MB and Free is 1997.3 MB. Keep in mind you are still limited to 256 songs/patches what have you, but I store my sequences on the 2mb card. I don't use live samples much, but storing samples with songs should allow you all the room you need for full blown songs with samples. Since 10 songs are only 2.2 MB, it may be a very long time before I hit the 1 Gig mark to find out if it will store past that, but it at least sees it

Keep in Mind I use Sandisk Ultra II Compact Flash cards. I can't say anything about the others because this is all I ever used and have 3 of them lying around. I'm getting ready to buy a few more so it'll never be an issue finding them down the road.

I was actually wondering about that, when seeing different "types" of Compact Flash... i.e. Ultra II Compact Flash cards... so, basically any compact flash card will work with the adapter that's being sent to me (thanks pbk!!!)? I hate buying something, and then finding out it's not compatible... I'm happy, at least, that the RAM I bought worked..
