Storing Samples To Fantom X7 Pads

Post by Veteran »

I'm just getting into using the sampler on my X7 and all is going ok, except I do not understand how to assign samples "permanently" to the X7's pads. By "permanently", I mean when I turn the synth off, I then have to re-assign the samples to the pads when I turn the machine back on. I have read the manual (Sample, Pad and Rythmn sections), but it is not clear to me how to do this. All I want to do is turn the machine on an find my lovely samples all ready a rearing to go on the pads! I feel sure it's really obvious when you know! Cheers. The Vet.

What you do when you assign the samples to the pads is modify the rhythm kit currently assigned to them. All you need is simply save this kit to the user bank. So, after you've assigned the samples, press WRITE, select Rhythm Kit and save.

Artemiy - Many thanks - So easy when someone shows you how. The manual is really confusing on this point - or at least it is to me!

Thanks again - It's great knowing you're there when we need you.

How would one save a set of samples that have been assigned to the keyboard? Via the WRITE option? Can rhythm kits be on the keyboard and/or pads or is that exclusively to the pads?

One more question artemiy since you seem to know a lot about this. I have a bunch of drum samples, seperate wavs, on my memory card. I would like to assign these wavs to the keyboard keys and make my own 'rhythm kit' but i dunno how to do this? Any help? Much appreciated!
