I recently ordered SRX-03 for my Fantom X.
Have anybody here used this card ?
I mainly bought this for guitar, epiano and bass sounds.

how much did you pay ... ?
I'd have to say it's my least-favorite of my SRX cards (luckily I bought it used) ... although there are some decent VOX samples and a few other sounds ... mostly filler, IMO ... I think there is one good acoustic guitar on there ...
Having four SRX cards installed, it's sometimes a little hard to remember what sounds are coming from what board ... but in general, it seemed very redundant of the stock sounds and SRX-07 ...

I am sorry for you taichi, but I sold my SRX 03 as well two months after buying it. Form the demo I had the impression that it could add some useful natural instrument waveforms, and indeed it has some nice ones, very few I really liked. What had attracted me especially had been the damped trumpet sound, but it turned out to be just ok and not overwhelming as well...

Diametro, hi, my assumption from what you write is that the SRX-07 is your favourite board and that it's significantly different enough from the fantom's core samples to bother purchasing? I own a Juno G, which I know doesn't have the exact same sample set as the Fantom, though I assume somewhat similar, maybe with some newer waveforms, or ones pinched from elsewhere. I would assume that if the SRX-07 is worthy enough to add to a Fantom it would benefit the Juno too. That said, I'm lucky enough to be in possesion of both promo baords SRX-97/98 (rock organ and analogue synth, though as yet only tried the latter) and feel 98 alone adds 13 worthwhile new electric piano patches.
If I was ever going to buy an SRX it would be 07, but since i can only use one board in the Juno it might be a steep price to pay for something similar to what's already in the Juno.
So basically I suppose I am asking how 'stand-out' the sounds of 07 are to you? Would you miss the board if you didn't have it?

The SRX03 is a definite favorite.
I think you will really like it.

I agree with most here: SRX-03 is not one of the better cards. For the sounds you wanted, my take is that the electric guitars are awful, acoustic guitars are OK if you reprogram the patches (less attack thump, and get rid of the silly high velocity one-tone hammer-on), basses are quite good, e-piano I can't remember. I think the SRX-07 has better bass & epiano, and also comes with great drums, organs & pads.

The best for me in that SRX03 is the percussion kit: very good !

My advice for your next SRX board: first ask opinions, then order!

As it is one of the older boards it only has 128 patches on it.
But IMO it has a really great distorted guitar sound just like neil young and thats why I bought it very cheap as well £80 brand new sealed off ebay.
It has some good bread and butter sounds as well.
If you can get it cheap then I would say go for it but don't pay full price as you will be dissapointed.
Another thing I have found is that the Roland demo site is misleading. I purchased the dance card SRX-05 on the strength of the roland demo. One particular sound 'corrupt sine' sounds nowhere near as good on my FX6 as it does on the roland demo. 8-(

ok get srx-05 dance. Its got some great anologue sounds plus loops and some great drum kits. Ideal for techno electronica. but as I stated earlier I was a bit dissapointed with the one sound that I bought it for, corrupt sine, it doesn't sound nearly as good on my FX6 as it does on the roland demo site. but it does have some fantastic pads and bass sounds.
