Greetings,
I just purchased a Fantom X7 upgrading from my XP-80. I love it so far and will be using it mostly for the cover bands that I am in.
Knowing there is a steep learning curve, I was wondering if there was a kind soul who would allow me to email them the questions that I have. I'm sure most are routine and I've been reading the helpful posts here but if there is someone who wants to help an individual out, that would be great.
Thanks.

It's not being shy, more insecure! j/k
The reason for wanting an emailing mentor that a lot of the explanations here are over my head. Also, the questions keep on coming. Here's are some sample questions most related to debuting the fantom at our March gig.
1) Today I figured out how in live setting a saved performance to be able to mute individual patches. Is there a way to keep the pads assigned in mute, but be able to view the text file that was uploaded?
2) What's the difference between live performance mode and live performance edit?
3) Is there a way to save performances in the live setting but then shift the assignments based on the set list (without redoing them all).
Those are examples of the questions I have. Thanks in advance for any help.

Any additional help out there?
Re: Newbie looking for Mentor
I am sorry but I never ever used the live mode, but I hope others will jump in to help. Hey guys, come on!
Still Looking
I've figured out some answers to previous questions. My newest struggles are:
- Best sound for "Goodbye to You" (Scandal)
- After saving a performance for live mode, what's the best/easiest way to switch a patch within a song. (For example - I programmed horns and B3 Organ but want to mute the horns without going into the mixer and muting with pads)

Good news and bad news...
Good news- It can be done and works quite well.
Bad news- Doing so requires the use of sysex commands fired off by RPS assignments to the Pads. While all this works well, it will take some time to learn and setup. Luckily, the detailed instructions are here:

Something else you should know...
The Clipboard can be used to setup short cuts. So, you can setup a shortcut with the 9 pad, for example, that takes you back to live mode from the mixer. So, getting back to live mode from the mixer is Clipboard->9. This way, it's a 1 handed operation - much easier than the out-of-the-box methods.

Well - I decided to split the keyboard and then just increase/decrease the notes by an octave or two depending on the part.
Have to try the clipboard approach at some point. Didn't know about it.
