USB question..Need Help

I heard on the fantom u can hook and external usb hard drive to the fantom to save and load sounds onto it if thats tru then can u hook like a usb zip drive or can u hook it to your computer soo u can save ur work on there and load it off of there? jus want to know....?

EDIT: i know that theres a Compact Flash Drive but I need to know about the USb not the flash drive...Please

Hello youngheat,

You can hook to your computer using USB storage mode.

You cannot hook any device directly to the USB port. The Fantom is a USB slave device and does not act as a host.

Could one logically get a USB/FireWire adapter PC card and hook the device into that?

I see ok thats cool...but if u hook it to ur pc for storage mode how would u get the file back onto the Fantom

OK youngheat. . . . it's time to go from theory to practice. When you connect to your computer, the Fantom appears as another drive. Drag and drop as you wish. . . . . .

Page 219 in the manual has all the info you need. Read it and try it, then if there are questions, please ask.
