Arabic samples or roland patches?
Hi,I have a ton of Arabic wav samples for use with any sampler that does both mono and stereo sample playback..i have Fantom X7..had the MC808 but requires a PC to make drum kits and edit sounds/samples.The Collection is no DVD rom though so you can expect to use 1gb compactflash to store the new made sample patches and 4gb compactflash card to IMPORT only the samples you want from the DVD.Format the 4gb $60 sandisk card in the Fantom first..Good God do it please!Dont format it in the PC!Next,TURN OFF the fantom and unplug the card(ALWAYS turn OFF the keyboard before plugging in or out the Flash card!),Plug the card in the PC and in MY Computer copy the samples you like off the DVD or edited samples from the DVD on your Hard drive to the Compact flash card file folder...TMP/AUDIO IMPORT/.Put the wavs there..Now.plug the Flash card Back in to the Fantom which you left powered OFF right??Turn the Fantom on.make sure you have at least 256mb of PC133 ram installed for sample ram!!Ok,after you see the patch screen..go to the menu item that allows you to IMPORT a sample from CARD..I got my Fantom yesterday but the MC808 was similar in functions and limitations.Scroll through and import the samples to the CSMA or USMA locations the board asks you to load to..Ok..this is where I am no longer able to help you..you see i have not tried the multi kit versus melodic sample patch modes yet..Figure it out as I did and you will have fun doing so!I have in the DVD samples from Irak,Turkey,Arab and Morrocan as well as Indian.I am Puerto Rican and do both Arabic and Reggeaton mixed so figure that musical style out;).My adress is mipopeteatyahoodotcom. You have music or samples to share??So do I!Talk to me..
