John Lord SRX-97 on ebay

Post by Solitary man »

Just thought I'd let everyone know that a seller on ebay.co.uk is selling the rare John Lord SRX-97 board, it's brand new and sealed according to the listing.
Here's the thread;

A genuine seller would have posted, or made available, a photo - if only to prove that such an oddity exists.

Hi JazzXR,

Shortly after asking for a photo I received a notice from Ebay telling me my password had 'become known to a third party'.

The leak may be totally unrelated of course, and it's possible this person is bona fide, but would be interesting to hear if you have a similar experience.

Be Very Careful!
Whenever the add asks you to contact them directly by means of an email address those are the crooks. Check the feedback. Usually these crooks use the identity of a person who has very high feedback rating ---however-- the high feedback rating is not for selling but for purchasing items. NEver Never contact that email adress. That's how they get your info. Frank

Hi JazzXR,

Please don't be sorry. I'm happy you haven't had a problem.

Interesting test case here. Will watch the feedback re the seller after the deal is done.

Hi Frank,

Thank you for your advice, albeit quite directive!

I agree that direct contact is to be avoided. In fact ebay offer contact with sellers through ebay's system, with the option of withholding one's email adress. Hopefully this system is relatively secure. But who knows.

Don't care about my "sorry". I can't speak english very well, so often I write things that not always are what I really want to say :)
