Does a new Fantom XR need FAN-XR-UP1?

I'm looking to buy a new XR, web buy, but not sure what to ask what to check to see if it needs the FAN-XR-UP1 “Sample Tools Expansion Kit.” (which doens't seem to be sold any longer)
What's a dead give away it doesn't need the upgrade kit?

FAN-XR-UP1 is for users who want to upgrade from Ver.1 to Ver.2. All new Fantoms, including the XR, now ship with Ver.2 so the Sample Tools are already installed. If you're buying a NEW XR you should expect to get a Ver.2 so you should be fine.

I am interested in purchasing or borrowing a FAN-XR-UP1 to upgrade my Fantom XR to version 2. I purchased this as a closeout/clerance item and was told that my FAN-X-UP1 would work for the upgrade, but it does not.
Roland is no help and I am unable to locate this anywhere. Any help is appreciated.

You still after the upgrade to 2.0 ?
After much searching I found one brand new in box, made an image and it's only 121mb - for a small fee for my trouble I can dropbox the image, or if preferred find a compact flash card (the one it came on was a mere 128mb) and post - again for costs plus a small fee to cover my footwork in sourcing..
