problem with fantom X?

I just received a fantom X I purchased used. I plug it and go through about 15 presets quickly to test it. I'm playing the user presets. Epic strings User #002 and TB and TP sect user #008 both don't play any sound at all when selected. I play the keys to trigger the sound and nothing. I assume this is not normal. I want to verify this is not normal and if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks for your help.

Hello Tom T,

I don't think anything is wrong with your Fantom or that it isn't 'normal'. The unit is used, so any of the User patches could have been modified by the previous owner.

Go into Patch Edit and check the level of the Patch, also check the TVA level. Of course, a Factory Reset would restore everything to original settings. This may not be a bad idea since the unit is used and there may be other settings that have been altered.

So, if you really want to get to know your Fantom as it was 'meant to be', do the reset and then have fun.
