Uberschall sample show cd use on fantom

what's the use of the cd that come with the x,as the file name is .cda?

i suppose the samples inside the cd was meant to be store into the x

.cda is how Windows treats Audio CDs, this file has no audio data on itself (poor Windows users! ). But you can use "CD ripping" or "CD extractor" software to turn these into WAVE files, then chop them using a sample editor and import in the Fantom.

i ripped it into wave files now and i'm going to chop em, what's a good editor for this purpose ?

There's a free one called Audacity, works on all major platforms:

use waveknife. Google "Waveknife" and download it.

I tell you what - I chopped 2 CDs of sample material within 5 minutes. It does batch chopping. Try it and you'll thank me.

a favor, if you will. I bought my fantom-S61 2 years ago. I lost my ueberschall Sample Show CD when I moved to another apartment. I'd really appreciate if you could upload the files for me. I already own the sample CD, so we're not doing anything illegal.

sambasevam : i downloaded the waveknife it worked great and you are right, it does batch chopping too but it keeps shutting down itself after chopping every 5 or more files ...great software though

by the way, i couldn't really help you with uberschall samples, the uploading speed here is currently impossible to do a 600mb
lot of technical stuffs that prevent me to do that too

Anyone else be so kind enough to upload the ueberschall tracks? I really, really, REALLY could use it. I feel stupid for not taking good care of it and losing it. Perhaps, artemio, or nathan, or bassman have this CD? I can send you my fantom S serial number info as a proof, just so you know I actually bought my fantom S brand new from Guitar Center.

are they not already in the fanthom?

No. They come bundled with the Fantom S as a CD. You have to load teh CD in the computer, extract the .cda into wav files and then put them in the fantom.

Ok, how about this : I'll upload a bunch of loops that i created with the fantom S and guru. Some of the loops are quite usable, and some of them are good for putting in your sampler and mangling around to get weird sounds.
