SVQ's mysteriously converted to SMC's

Post by The Box Drone »

The most aweful thing just happened to me... I have no idea how, and I'm pretty sure it can't be fixed... but if anyone knows what the hell just happened to me, I'd love to find out, because I want to know how to avoid this in the future.

I just coppied some midi files from my computer straight onto my flash card. When I put the flash card back in the fantom... all my old SVQ files were now MID files, and were basically F*CKED compleatly when I tried to load them... everything compressed onto track one... and other stuff which I can't explain because I don't understand. This sucks... does anyone know how this may have happened?

Pearls of wisdom, no mistake, but I bought a Fantom-Xa anyways ;)

TBD,

I'm curious as to how exactly you copied the Midi files. It appears that somehow during the copy process you did a global action that affected all of your files. If you can outline step by step EXACTLY what you did, we'll see what we get.
