Both have the Fantom-X engine with 5 FX units and 128 voices, 16 MB flash memory, up to 516 MB RAM and 1 SRX slot. Xa has skip-back sampling, patterns/RPS, multisampling, but no audio tracks. Juno-G has 4 audio tracks, slightly larger LCD screen, but no multisampling, no patterns/RPS and no skip-back sampling.

Vishal,

There have been a number of discussions on the Forum recently regarding the XA/Juno-G and how they compare. Perform a 'Search' on these and you will find a wealth of information.

vishal,

I deleted the new thread you began on the very same subject. There is no need to double post. Members will reply to the original thread and replies won't be split between two threads, causing confusion.

I don't have time to write a long explanation, but here's a quick explanation...

A pattern would be a chunk of musical data that you would repeat. For example, you might have a song made up of the following pattersn...

[1] intro
[2]verse
[3]chorus
[4]bridge
[5]end

You would use the patterns like building blocks to create a song like so...
[1][2][2][3][3][4][2][2][3][3][4][5]
...instant song.

Or

[1] beat
[2] bass
[3] rythem guitar
[4] lead guitar

and you would chain it something like... (hopefully this lines up right)

track1[1][1][1][1]
track2 [2][2][2]
track3 [3][3]
track4 [4]

RPS would be the ability to assign a pattern to the keys or pads & play back the pattern with the press of a button, allowing you to play back sequences live while still leaving room for improvisation and is also as a good way of arranging your song.

Personally, I couldn't live without it.

Pearls of wisdom, no mistake, but I bought a Fantom-Xa anyways ;)
