There's a bug that I expect 2 characters after underscore in a wav filename (to extract note information). For example mySample_1.wav will fail. I'll fix it.

Workaround for now is either rename file or disable option 'Try to extract key from filename first' which should be disabled by default'. That would still fail though if there's no note info in the wave file.

Will post fix later today.

Wow! Great stuff, thanks Luc. I'll download that and have a go tonight. I'm trying to import nearly a thousand samples from a few CDs onto one new card (my multisamples card!), so this will really help :o)

I'll let you know how it goes.

I wrote it for similar purpose to import PCP80 samples (few hundred) and not having to manually enter key information for each sample.
That should work fine but note I have no progress bar so it may seem hanging while copying the samples. If you still see issues let me know.

Hi Luc, I managed to try out version beta5 of your sample import tool at the weekend, and it worked for around 700 of the 750 samples I tried to import. About 50 of those it did import it couldn't tell the original key from the filename; and when I clicked on "Sample Parameters" I got the option for loop mode on the drop down from the Original Key drop down, rather than the note names I was expecting!

If you'd rather take this off here, you can get me at bachontothis @ yahoo.co.uk (no spaces).

I am much further through importing all these samples than I was 48 hours ago though, so thank you for that :o)

I was just about to post one more fix which sounds exactly the issue you're having. Can you try this:

Great, thanks! I'll try this as soon as I get a free evening and report back :o)

By the way, version 5 said version 0.4 on the main screen, and version 6 shows 0.5. Don't know if that's significant, or if I'm in "easily-confused-by-everything" mode at the moment.

Hi Luc, I finally got to try the new version of your sample import tool at the weekend and it worked for about 760 of 780 samples.

800 MB of samples only took 20 minutes to load. I was quite happy with that as I don't intent to load them all at any one time.

Is there a way to set a number of samples to "One-Shot" loop made in one go? I really don't want to have to do this for each sample in turn!

Cheers

Not possible but I just added it v7:

If you select more than 1 sample it will now show 'various'. If value is various it will not change that parameter value. Otherwise if you change it then it will update all selected samples with that new value(s).

What I would love about the editor is... can you make it export as text file the list of the samples?
It would me much easier to find them at editing.
When I imported 140 drums samples it was very hard to find them in the list (for my eyes specially ;) )

@cminor - I must admit that while I've been putting these multisamples into my Fantom, I 've kept a list of what slot numbers the samples are in and what Multisample number they relate to.

@Luc - That's great! Thank you. Guess what I'll be doing on my next free evening!

New v8 version to allow copy to clipboard:

Most likely last changes but this is what I added:
- If you press Ctrl-c on right listbox it will copy selected items to clipboard (tab between the column values)
- If you press Ctrl-a it will select all non-empty samples
- Added icon
