yamaha s90es piano samples download!!
Re: yamaha s90es piano samples download!!
there is sample robot also, but i alwways find it very dificult softwware to work with.
With ESC i am pleased.
Next time be sure that the volume from the hardware you are sampling is the maximum and always tick the options in ESC '' velocity restore'' and ''normalize''.Then you won't have any hiss.
By the way, have in mind that when you sample vst's,for example ivory ,that uses diferend samples when you use sustain pedal, maybe you have to have your feet on the damper pedal all the time while ESC is sampling,so you get the sustained samples and not the key strike samples.
I haven't check to see if ESC has a programable controller for that.

How can I sample a VST instrument using sample robot or similars?
I can't route the midi connection between sam.rob. and cubase..

Re: yamaha s90es piano samples download!!
I don't know how to use sample robot, but with extreme sample converter you don't need to open cubase, the software loads up the vst you want to resample.and that's all.
Re: yamaha s90es piano samples download!!
Ok,samples are looped, most of the his is gone!
Soon i will start the programing. The only problem is that i don't have motif xs or s90es to compare them.
Cesarsound can you make from scratch a patch on fantom x with the most common setting as they are on motif xs?for example the filters and envelops?can you copy theese settings?
Also,I am alittle worried about that hiss noise,as well as the sustained sound, butwe will see later about them.
Cesarsound send it into an fxl file,or i can send you back the looped samples within the multisamples so you can hera also what you are doing.

Thanks Julio,i just download them now,but i will listen to them tomorrow. They will be back to you,the looped version soon!
Re: yamaha s90es piano samples download!!
Nice work Cesarsound . The only problem now is the strereophony.many softwares have bugs about it,like the fantom s/x sample import ,that depends on what format the sound is.For example if you convert a stereo wav file to aif, then the polarity changes, and you hear the left chanel to the right and versa.
So,what exactly the problem here is:
If you try to combine the left and right channels to a stereo pair, you will hear that S700Hard 021-ST will sound to the right mostly, while it should be heard to the left.
That will happen also if you load the samples on fantom ,and create 2 multisamples ,one for the right, and one for the left channel.when you put these multisamples on a patch to hear them, you will hear the the lower key's notes to the right, and the upper notes on your left.
To avoid problems like that ,either from hardware or software,i always sample the stereo and not the idividual outputs, when the sound i want to sample is stereo.I also check that outputs from the hardware i want to sample, goes to the right inputs,as well as i check on my soundcard what is the source of input,if it is to mix or return' change it to in1+2,other wise i am not sampling the signal that is coming in,but the signal it comes from monitor,or from soundcard's output.
Cesarsound ,can you do once again the resampling and save them as stereo and not idividuals?

korg,
The work was not so good.
Unforunately I am not having free time for a while to do it oncemore.

Re: yamaha s90es piano samples download!!
Julio,
Could you please share the password from the last RAR archive that you created?
I would like to convert your samples for my Roland Fantom XR.
Now, if you do this work again, PLEASE use the digital output of your XS for sampling! Maybe your soundcard has a digital input. The reason for this is not so much the quality of the samples but the looping problem.
If you sample digital (I suppose 44.1 kHz) you can actually find the original loop points from the source samples and that makes looping very easy and saves some memory space at the same time.
Thanks!
Joerg

Bit,
Please give us your feedback about the samples.
I do not have digital in on my setup. Actually I am sampling with my laptop internal sound card line in jack.
I am planing to buy an external audio inteface UA-25EX Edirol, but not for a while.

Re: yamaha s90es piano samples download!!
Julio,
THIS is incredible work !!!!
The samples are super clean and I don't think that I will have any problems finding the original loop points
. I also like the stereo image very much and if I want the Bass to the left I can always flip my headphones
. I don't see a need to do the sampling again, the sound is fantastic!
Well, I counted 15 zones, are you sure that this is all the samples there are? I'm asking because I did some math an Yamaha's claims: If we assume 44.1 kHz, 16 bit-Stereo, and 15 zones and 54.6 MB total, that would come out to about 7 seconds per sample and looking at S700Hard 026-L.wav I determined the length (including the loop) is less than 5 seconds. I also assume that samples on higher octaves are shorter. If the whole size is 32 MB (as advertised e.g. by Musician's Friend) I guess it would be exactly right... So what's the truth?
.
Could you please let me know what velocity ranges Yamaha uses for the three layers? That would save me some experimenting. Also do they use Filter Envelopes to muffle the sound during the loop?
I know that you said that you are busy but if you could do same procedure to that S90ES Fender Rhodes sound I would be very grateful
. I don't think I have heard a better Rhodes anywhere to this point.
Thanks again,
Best Regards,
Joerg
