Most of the music I write and play does not require any specialised Rhodes, etc. What I have in my Fantom suits when I need it. That being said, I DO have a brand spanking new SRX-12 I got with my X8 rebate that I would be willing to sell or trade. I have an interest in more synth type waves actually. One of the projects is an 80's metal tribute band and I would like to grab an SRX card that fits that need. My other project relies heavily on acoustic piano so I am covered there.
I just don't like the sound of a Rhodes or a Wurly - never have. I know - sacrilege! But, there you go
I've played the real things and I just feel like a damned lounge lizard when I hear them. I know that MANY people can/could make them rock. The late great Billy Preston immediately comes to mind. Check out his keyboard solo on the Beatles "Get Back". But, the Rhodes stuff isn't for me, and this card is still sitting safely in its box.
