Exactly so, although in the case of the Fantom there doesn't seem to be that much warming up and cooling down going on what with just 12W being dissipated in the whole unit. I wouldn't be surprised if the chips in this thing stay almost completely cool.
In our office we do leave all our computers on 24/7 (sorry polar bears) but at home I do turn off the computer (mainly because of the polar bears). By the time it develops technical problems its economic lifespan will have passed anyway.

Over the years I have learned to keep my musical instruments visible and ready. For example, my guitars are not in cases, they are on stands, ready. And so it is with my Roland X8.
