help mpc fantom

hey people

what im trying to find out is this:

i have en fantom xr synced to an mpc2000xl. when i want to play samples on the fantom with timestreching it doesnt work.
its only synced to midiclock in storage mode is this normal.
if this is normal you cant use the pc as editor and the mpc as master sync at the same time. can anybody tell me if this is true

i allready asked in another thread but there still isnt a sollution.

i really want to know why you cant use the editor while syncing to an mpc. anybody
