Are you using mtc or clock?

When you say freeze do you mean notes are stuck on?

yes. the notes are stuck. When I switch from storage mode to midi mode it stops. I have to keep doing this. The midi notes only play when the fantom is in midi storage mode.

The STORAGE MODE IS FOR USB CONNECTION. I assume your using a midi cable NOT a USB right?

I just looked at a 1000 on akai's site and it looks as though that USB is for file transfer, not midi ( mass storage support ) I may be wrong about this, as I don't have mpc, but that may be the problem....Use a midi cable! :)

Im sequencing on the mpc. im using midi cables. The only way the sound is heard from the mpc is when the fantom is set to storage mode. If the fantom is in midi mode, the sound is not heard.
