Fantom X6 w/ MPC1000

I just got a mpc1000 and im trying to midi everything together. Im using a fantom x6, motif es rack, microkorg, and a laptop w/ protools le 7. Does anyone know what would be a good setup with these? Also, I was sending sysex messeges from my rack to my fx6 to change sounds of different songs. Is there a way to send sysex from my fantom to the mpc??

all depends on what you mean by a good set up! Set up your studio in the way you want it to work. Select what pieces of gear you want to control others with - if you can be more specific about what you want to do it would help.

Under menu, midi, there are settings for getting the fantom to send program change info. Press away....

well im trying to send a sysex message to my mpc so when i press play on my mpc it sends a sysex back to my fantom to load the sounds from a specific song. (instead of me having to load a song on the fantom and then on the mpc)

You can send prog change and bankselect messages from X6. I do this with my X6 to my microkorg to call up the right sound on microkorg when I load a song on X6. While in MIXER SCREEN, press F2 (part view), cursor to the midi channel that will send the messages, and set the parameters (bankselect/progchange). What I do is record 1 measure before the song actually starts and put the change messages there. that way it'll send them messages to korg before it starts playing it (I use X6 to controll korg) hpoe that helped
