Tip: Ever wonder duration of song in minutes?

Post by Quinnx. »

This is something that use to bug me
when you play the song all you see is beats and measure.

If you would like to know exactly how long your song/pattern is
in Minutes and secs

press the following..

Song Edit
Track edit
TIME FIT
you should see 0001 to ALL
and
Time Original should tell you in hrs min sec the current duration of your song/pattern.
Of course if your intrested in time lenght upto a specific bar,
you can change ALL to the bar number of preference and this will also tell you length in duration upto that bar.

You could always do the math. Let me see... 86 beats per measure for 47 measures...LOL

Hope the next OPSYS lets me decide what gets displayed on the screen. It would help a lot with my video work.

Thanks for the tip. This will be very useful for me.

Quinnx I have been wanting to know how long the svqs are for months. I've only found out when resampled.

Thanks a million!!!!

Yes, thanks Quinnx. That is a great tip! I don't need to know the time duration all the time but sometimes that is exactly what I need.

Cheers,

Yeah I too was resampling to find duration,
now if only they had displayed that clock when seq playing ;-)

"86 beats per measure for 47 measures"
yeah yeah... But you forgot to carry the 6.. LOL

"but sometimes that is exactly what I need."
Or you could do what I sometimes did
take out your mobile phone and use its own Stop watch
handy (not alot of people remeber they have one on there mobile) ;-)
