Stutter on Wav import

Post by Razorbreed »

Hi I've been importing samples like crazy on my new X6 and loving every minute of it. The other day I noticed a vocal film sample sounded strange but didn't think too much of it. Last night I imported the boy from Sixth Sense saying I want to tell you my secret now, and in the song it stuttered and sounded like it had reverb and chorus on when it didn't. I previewed the sample on the card and it sounded fine but when imported again it was weird. I wondered if this was to do with the sample being time stretched ? I checked every setting I could find on the import pages and couldn't see where the setting could be ? Has anyone here got any ideas what this could be

Are you listening to it from the Sample List preview or when you assign it to keyboard/pad?

Razorbreed,

Try checking your 'Master Tune' setting. (Under Menu / System / Sound) If it is not set to 440.0 [Hz], set it back to that value and try importing and listening to your sample again. Let me know if this works.

Hi sorry about hte delay and thanks for your reply. No that didn't work. Do samples have to be a particular bit depth or anything maybe ?

The Fantom sample specs are 16 bit / 44.1khz. Check this and see if it makes a difference.
