Fantom and Triton Owners, help re-create patches?

Post by sevencornergang »

For a long while I was stuck in debate about buying a Triton extreme, after playing with it for a while I found I really only wanted a handfull of the patches.

If anybody who owns both the fantom and triton,If they wouldn't mind helping me re-create similar sounding patches off of the triton, but on my fantom it would be appreciated and not to mention would save me $1999 :)

??? It would be only 5-7 patches ???

let me know if anyone would be willing to help me?

thanks

I have tried sampling some TE patches and drum kits. The results are disappointing - on the same pitch you sampled it sounds dead, and sounds terrible only a few keys higher or lower. And then you gotta ask yourself what are you going to sample. The raw MultiSample in the TE rom? The Prog without FX? The Prog with FX? The Combi?

Whatever it is that sounds great on the TE will not sound great on the FX by the time it has been sampled. IMHO the total sound of either instrument is complex and not solely based on the raw sample.

It is possible. You need to know the wave form names of those patches and effects used. FX may not have exactly same waves and effects but it would help in the patch recreation, a lot. I don't have TE though.

Fantom and Triton Owners, help re-create patches?

All you need is to copy all the effects on a piece of paper first and then copy the patch settings . Then apply it to the fantom .
Note : First copy the effects section and then the patch settings
