How to Change Patches on the XR From MidiKybd

Post by Fast Fred »

I love my Fantom XR module.
I play with several bands and the Fantom XR has been so effective
that one band has already kicked me out. The drummer was insecure
with the constant onslaught of wav files that I kept throwing out
there. He couldn't take it. I love putting a motorcycle out there
when we play "Born to Be Wild" or a tarzan yell at the end of my
solo. I am having a ball with the new unit!!!

I drive it from a Radium midi board. This is way cool because I can
program the slider and knobs (16 of them) to midi controllers. So I
have the benefit of controlling volume, attack, decay, sustain,
release, portamento, vibrato, resonance, and hold in real time from
my board. I'm in heaven.

Part of the problem is changing patches quickly on the Fantom,
especially if the band is calling out the songs as they go.

So here is the question.....(ahem)

"Does anyone know of the controller number for changing a patch?"

Thanks,
Fast Fred

Shaggy,

Appreciate your help.
I did cruise through my manual and well.....
hmmm... could not figure it oout.
Pardon my lack of intuition.
When I see in the manual that Decay is controller 76.
I program a slider on my midi board to send signals to that controller and presto, I can change my decay.
The progam and bank changes have been more elusive for me.
So your note indicates that you are a cool dude and trying to help but I lack the experience or maybe the brain power to take that info and go.
I don't see in your note what the controller number is.
Pardon me if it is in there but I am not reading it correctly.
Once again I appreciate your expertise and assistance.
