so to clarify....
what i'm ssaying is that i download a loop from the internet (.wav format) and i import it into the fantom. then i load it to pad. then, i open my sequencer and record that loop. then, i attempt to continuously loop the loop from my sequencer. however, there is always a gap between the cycles. so it will play the loop once, then a brief pause, and then the loop, then pause, then loop......
so i want to elliminate that pause.
now i truncated the recorded loop in my sequencer, but that pause still exists.
how do i get rid of the pause and get a continuous loop going?

Its a bit difficult to sync imported loops with the sequencer but it can be done.

First of all, go to sample list, load you're loop and preview it. If it doesnot repeat itself over and over, go to sample parameter and change the loop value until it repeats over and over(right now I dont remember how the value is called but youll find it, dont worry). Now when you preview it, it should loop perfectly with the metronome if you have both starting at the same time. Now, a 100 bpm on the fantom is not neceseraly the same speed as 100 bpm on the system the loop was created. So if the file loops itself perfectly alone but does not sync perfectly with the metronome, you should not truncate. Instead go to sample parameter and change the samples bpm. This will stretch the sample. Youll have to play around with this till you get the correct results.

After you get it in sync with the metronome you can assign it to a pad. Remember that for the pad to play in sync with the sequencer you need youre sequencer to be running and have the correct values on the rps screen.

so what ur saying, if i understand correctly, is that loop the sample in the sample edit mode itself, rathern than in the sequencer. i think thats a brilliant idea, because then i can loop the loops and assign them to indibividual pads, and then i can save the pad patch and i will always have my samples loaded on their right? ....i hope so...
i think i will give this a shot and try this out tonight. i will let you know tonight/tomorrow if this works out....otherwise...its back to square one.

thanks for all ur help and support energizer.

hello energizer,
last night i tried to loop my sample by going into sample edit -> sample param -> and changing the setting from "one-shot" to "fwd"...and it WORKS!!!!
thanks for all your help man...
however, now that u have solved my problem, i wil have to ask more questions...
so the thing is that how do i get all my samples on the same tempo? because i want to play two beats at a time and i want them on the same exact tempo. while assigning my sample to pad i tried tempo sync, but that doesnt always work.
my other question is that in the pad settings, can i not have some pads affected by the "hold" function?
i mean, that for me to have to sample play continuously, i have to activate "hold." but in this way, all the pads are affected. so can i either not have "hold" affecting some pads, or can i have my sample playing continuously without "hold" ?
