Entry-level tutorial for Live players!

Post by lazeeboy »

Hi y'all,

Does anyone remember this thread? If you do but never came around to trying some of it's stuff because it was too daunting you can do so now for I've concocted an entry-level tutorial in M$Word format. It's very basic so don't complain about that please.

BTW If anyone is interested in converting it to HTML or some other open format feel free to ask me for the screenshots. I'll host it of course.

How about PDF?

Hi,

I may be a bit late in doing this, but I only got my Fantom last month ;-)

I've converted it into PDF format, if anyone's interested...

Cheers

Hi Lazeeboy,
I am new to the operations of Fantom X7... please read my thread "Live play mode... Rhythm stops.. please help... (p: 1, 2)" given on the forum... see how worried I was when people were talking about SYSEX commands and all. I was so worried... then I came across ur newly added thread for beginners with pictures and I was able to understand the basics of sysex. So beautifully explained. Thank you... W'really thankyou...

For next I am going to be busy with your earlier posted "Fantom-X 2.0 live sound switching tutorial (p: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)" and then I shall come back with some questions...

Nice work indeed...

Thanks & Regards

Spoon Feeding...

Hi there,
So nicely explained with pics but still some people... like me... have problems...
I followed your path but in the end what happens... when I press Pad 1 - I get to hear both the sounds (piano + strings) and when I press Pad 2 - no sound comes. I checked in Rx column also. When Pad 1 is pressed check mark is there in both the tracks and when Pad 2 is pressed check mark is removed from both the tracks - so no sound.

I think in your tutorial on Page no. 8, wherein we check Rx by removing check mark on track 1 and trying on track 2 - after it is checked.. and BEFORE proceeding further to "Adapting the sysex messages", what should be the status of Rx ? Should we leave both on/off/??? . I think I am making a mistake here - I switch on track 1 only... please confirm or guide me further...

Thanks for ur guidance & Regards...
