Sutton Coldfield/ MIDIs

Post by Barry »

Anybody live near to me In Sutton Coldfield West Midlands U.K so that we can share/find info about the X
So how is it then that when I place a midi file in the seq folder in my p.c. it then transfers to the X in the Roland seq folder but does not appear in the song list . Despite pressing /highlighting and copying the midi files they never ever appear in the song list and never play
Now surely this must be one of the basic functions of this machine...what's the point of making it difficult to use this function....help- help a well pissed off

Barry,

You need to have the midi file in \ROLAND\SEQ\SNG folder in the user memory or card (if you have one).

Hello,

For a Fantom S:

a) Copy the midi file to your card or user memory's \roland\seq\sng
folder

b) on the fantom, press SAVE/LOAD (above drum pads, right hand side of keyboard)

c) press Button 6 (LOAD SONG)

d) press F1 (button 1) to load from USER memory _OR_ F2 (button 2) for loading from CARD

e) MAKE SURE "view SMF" is checked -- F4 (button 4)

SMF is Standard MIDI File and if this filter is OFF, you will NOT see any files.

Hope this helps.
