Roland, please faster access to the card in 2.0

Post by Sergievsky »

Am worried if the power goes out on a gig (common where I am). Will take too long to load up the full 512 from the card. I understand its only x4? I have a cf card that is x64. And a lot of new ones are x24 and x48. Anyway, hope this gets into v.2.0

My advice regardless of whether they make the card read faster is to spend between $50 and $90 and buy a UPS. I personally would never plug my keyboard in without one. You are just asking for trouble in most small/mid size venues because of unstable power. The more you spend on one the longer it can go without power before you have to shut down your keyboard. JMIO

That's excellent advice. Don't sell yourself short. Get an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for your Fantom. It's unlikely that Roland would be able to increase data access speeds as this is likely limited by hardware inside the Fantom-X.
