what mode with external sequencer?

im trying to sequence my fantom with my software sequencer but i cant figure out what mode to put my fantom s in. i cant find it in the manual either. thanx for any help...

What do you mean by Mode?

But it usually should be in Performance Mode.

i use my pro tools sequencer to sequence all my synths and i couldnt figure out how to get the fantom synced.

This depends on how you are using your sequencer and it's inputs and routing. You should have a method to just play midi out into the sequencer.

Are you trying to play in a whole song, or a track at a time?

im trying just to play some tracks. ive got some from reason,reaktor/micro q, and now im tring to add some fantom. thanx for the help........

You're still not describing your situation thoroughly enough.

Where are you trying to play the tracks? In your Fantom, or in your sequencer?

The word track itself has so many connotations, and many people use it in different contexts.

So.............the best way to get the help that you are looking for is to lay out your setup and your task, with as much detail as possible.

ok, im sequencing with pro tools. pt is my sequencer. everything needs to slave to that. im using my fantom s as my controller for my modules and soft synths. thanx for the help..

By your modules, do you mean hardware synthesizer modules?

So you're not using the sounds in the Fantom?

I'm not that familiar with protools, but have heard that its MIDI implementation is thinner than some of the other platforms.

For anybody to help you, you still need to take more time to lay out your setup.

PC or Mac?

Full hardware setup (other synth modules, etc.)

MIDI hardware

Soft synths that your are using.

You've made it clear that you are using PT as your sequencer, so that's where you MIDI tracks will be recorded and played back from. Now fill in the rest.

lol, sorry....i can use the fantom as a midi contoller just fine. i want pt (on pc) to sequence the sounds of my fantom as well. btw midi in 6.7 is much improved. im not sure how to st up the fantom to recieve the midi messages form pt. i hope this is good. thanx again.
