Fantom XR will not save samples

My Fantom XR will not save new samples I've created. I've tried to save in both User memory and Card memory. They are gone when the unit is powered off. I can still view the sample names in the list. The system is version 2.02 I've followed the manual instructions.

I have XR too but don't use it much (especially samples/multisamples) but once I saved all the preset samples to Card, they're found on laptop with card reader, I've checked the file content with Hex editor, but the damn samples won't load to XR...Menu doesn't even show any of them.

I have this problem too. I converted some S700 libraries, imported them on the XR from the utility > import menu (which takes AGES. It's ridiculously slow even for something from 2004, loading samples from SCSI CD drives takes LESS) and saved them on a CF card. They'll play fine and their patch names get written to the card. Power it off and the samples won't get autoloaded and I have to repeat the importing process again. Meanwhile the FANTOMAS pack gets loaded just fine on bootup - though for just 166mb or so it adds nearly seven whole minutes on top of the 22-24 seconds bootup..
