Fantom S Voltage

Post by james87 »

Hi,

i have read on this forum about voltage auto switching and that but none of it was about the Fantom S it was only the Fantom X

I bought a Fantom S from the USA which it says its 117V now i live in Australia which is 240V.

My Question is does the Fantom S have auto voltage switching.

I am aware i can get a step down transformer however i would prefer just using 1 cable if it is possible.

According to page 217 of the fantom S user manual the answer is yes it has a switching power supply:

Power Supply
AC 117 V, AC 230 V, AC 240 V
Power Consumption
17 W

You can also download the manual here: http://www.roland.com/products/en/_support/om.cfm?PRODU...

Answer from Roland:

Hello Adrian,

The Fantom-S has a built-in switching power supply that will automatically adjust to different line voltages. So, you will not need to use a separate power transformer when using this model in different countries - but you may need an adapter for the power plug.
