looping points

Post by daztickle »

Has anyone manged to create a smooth loop on say a brass sample on the fantom x, from what i have managed to achieve, it seems almost impossible and at best amazingly time consuming.

I have never sampled before so som basic advice on how you decide on a loop point etc etc would be very appreciated, i'm beginning to think that the sampling facillities on this machine are very limited in terms of smoothly looping samples.

Help!!!

Please read page 13 of the TweakBook -

You should know that for complex samples like acoustic ones it is very, very hard to find perfect loop points. The sample itself should be somewhat loop-ready, have some rather static portion that doesn't change drastically over time.
