Problem with some patches loading in performance mode
Problem with some patches loading in performance mode
Hello I sold my original Fantom-s and later repurchased one on eBay because I never recorded all of the songs I made. I saved all of the original files. When I load up some of my old performances there are errors in the some of the individual patches. The patch name displays “——000”. Some of these errors occur on patches that were originally user patches however I also loaded my original user patches. I have been able to correct some of the errors by selecting the patch in question, choosing another random patch and then pressing the exit button. Sometimes the original patch will magically appear but it doesn’t work that often . Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks.

Re: Problem with some patches loading in performance mode
The song file isn't looking for User patches on a card, is it?
Re: Problem with some patches loading in performance mode
All of the song files (performance patches) are saved to an external card. I’ve noticed that that the user patches can be glitchy. Sometimes the patch list shows no user patches or shows “???” But when I press the up and down buttons the user patches will appear. Weird...
Re: Problem with some patches loading in performance mode
Do the user patches need to be saved on the card? They are already in the internal memory.
Re: Problem with some patches loading in performance mode
Does anyone know if Roland tech support could help on this issue. Since this product is discontinued I don’t know if it’s supported any more. Any other suggestions for help? Not getting much response here.

Are any control keys sticking like those F buttons? I suggest you use a contact cleaner for cleaning plugs, switches. Are you mechanically skilled?

You best save those patches as external files.
