Sync Patterns with Rhythms Live?

Hi everyone. I'm a 10 year lurker, but this will be my first post. I'll try to be as thorough as possible.

So far I've made 3 bass-lines. I did this by...
1. Recording them each to their own pattern live with a 2 measure loop
2. Quantizing the pattern in track edit
3. Setting the Pattern to a key using RPS (I set them to loop2 so I don't have to hold the key down)

My goal is to be able to switch between rhythms on the pads and switch between bass-lines on the keys. The problem is that the patterns do not auto-sync with the rhythm being played. I'm trying to deal with tempos of 180 bpm, and ideally I'll also be soloing on another instrument with the right hand. I'm not devoid of rhythm, but with all of that going on I don't want to be worrying about perfect timing when triggering a pattern.

Now I know I could just record the bass patterns and the rhythm sections and then quantize the track, but I really want to be able to play live and have my patterns and rhythms synced. Any ideas?

Edit: Oh woops, forgot to say I'm using a Fantom X8. So much for being thorough...
