The Korg Legacy pack is killer!
The Akia software was already supposed to be out for the Fantom X!!!!
I use a G5 Imac with Logic 7, AU(audio Unit) latencey is far superior to midi control thru the 1980's midi cables to any instrument without any external firewire interface, but the MOTU gets me proper speed...1-2ms latencey is not noticeable the least bit by human ears...and it is much faster than the 99% of the hardware gear triggering that I have seen in my 20 years of music. There is no such creature at the moment as 0ms latencey on anything...and if you are gonna sit there and tell people that is hardware latencey you are kidding yourself...the Roland JX305 is so horrible when hooked up in the midi chain that it must be first and almost never triggers better than being off by 1/32nd of a beat...lol...(now thats a jx only thing folks, not all midi gear is that slow).
My sample collection was free, via me and a few crates of records and tapes and cds...lol...maybe even session musicians and a microphone...lol...I was showing a price comparison to the Fantom...Fantom retails for around 1900.00 the combo I put up for about 1700.00 you save 200.00!! And you dont lose anything!! Unless you love Roland patches and then in that case maybe you need a Fantom. I own the FantomX, I like the FantomX...but Mach 5 is a better sampler!!! Kontakt is a better sampler!!! The new synth in Logic Crushes almost anything that I have ever heard...But you tend to miss my point again; I am saying that HARDWARE COMPANIES(all) need to wake up and quit disabling technologies and quit sending users to 3-4 different products to get the whole enchilada, IE the constantly deteriorated power of the D Beam...the D Beam gets weaker on each and every release...WHY? Wasnt nothing at all wrong with it to begin with. I am not trying to blaspheme your Fantom X John, I am simply tryin to take a stand for better hardware products for musicians without having to buy 8-10 grand worth of gear to do the job of one piece! I am instead saying ROLAND MERGE THE TECHNOLOGIES AND CHARGE $4-5 grand...and call that keyboard Encore!!! (applause)

What is wrong with a note on message when you start recording in a sequencer (no computer) The Fantom is ten seconds from being able to facilitate vocals and in almost every sale add it is pushed as a DIGITAL RECORDER read the misleading adds please!
Your soft synths arent stable because you are running windows try a mac!! On the studio g5 desktop we can get over 80 stereo tracks of 24 bit audio running beside 70+ plugin in realtime...and watch a DVD in the toolbar, while surfin the web with 12 browser windows open...? I dont ever have a problem here and nor does BT?
wimpy powerbook, hahahahahaa....kills the alien ware laptop bro...and that lappy costs 5 grand!OUCH !!! MACS have no restraints since OSX all audio and video is core its written directly into the OS unlike direct X and WDM which are still cruddy drivers with software hardware issues and such.
I have never ever ever seen one pc in a professional ASCAP studio situation...not even running a HD protools setup, because PCs are garbage if they run Windows...maybe you should opt for linux instead...its growing now! BUY A MAC NEXT TIME...like other studio pros!

unfortunatly people have rose coloured glases and wont give them up even when they crack...
Just look at the file system issue..
People should be saying.. yeah this is wrong we want it fixed
but all they keep saying is, grow up, live with it, if your not happy why did you buy it in the 1st place, im happy why arent you???

but of course this is why! we keep getting tecnology that does`nt quite hit the mark.... and we are beta testers every time...
