Hello,
Noobie here with (used) X6. I apologize if this post duplicates others; but,I searched this topic for matches on "best pedal" and got 1345 hits! A daunting task to read them all, so.......
Which is the best pedal----DP-8 or DP10----to use as piano sustain (Roland calls it "Hold") pedal? Piano mode is about all I intend to use the pedal for right now.
Many thanks.
X6--Best pedal for sustain
Re: X6--Best pedal for sustain
With respect to actual operation, they are the same. With respect to design and convenience, there is a slight difference - the rubber pad beneath the DP10. When you press the pedal with your foot, this pad prevents the pedal from slipping on a smooth surface. I have the DP10 and very happy with it.
If you plan to use it on a stage with wooden surface or if your house floor is wooden, tiles and non-carpet, you should use DP10. Otherwise DP8 should be ok for you.
