Patches/Performances and samples

Post by dtscape »

Hi,
I've just got my hands on a file from 'JEM' (Mr Jem Godfrey) for my X7. I was very excited to get my hands on these sounds and couldn't wait to try them so.... I unzipped the file which revealed 2 files a '_MACOSX' and 'X7 MEMORY CARD'. Within both these files there is a 'Roland' file.. each with something slightly different(the MAC one didn't have the samples but still a SMPL folder). Now, me being me, decided to just load the 'X7 MEMRORY CARD' file onto the CF card. I turned the Fantom of and then on and left it for 10 minutes(knowing from previous experience how long it would take) and came back very excited....
Thats were the excitment ended....
The samples were there but no patches or performances(on the Card or in the User file). I expected them to be on the Card but there was nothing...

I will try tonight to load both files(_MACOSX and X7 MEMORY CARD) onto the cf card to see if that works.

What I need to know is 'What files should I be looking for for the cards patches and performances?'

dtscape,

Here is a link that explains how to download info to your card. Are these patches / samples something you can share with us?

Thanks

Thanks brianb. I had a go at loading the required elements onto the card (as per the pdf file link) but still with no success... I think I need to contact Jem again to let him know I've had problems. The samples load but the patches/performances just show as Initialized.....I'm gonna try and see if I can view the patches on the librarian (haven't tried using it yet so it may not work!!!)

As far as sharing them.... They're not mine too share so I'll have to decline on that... Sorry!!!!!! ;-)
