Sound patches going bad? presenting high pitch sounds

Post by ken Regal »

I own a fantom X 88 that i use as my primiary keys and have a midi out to a Triton Extreme. during live performances it gives me a really fat sound. I basically playing on the fantom while I also get the sounds from the triton.

lately during gigs, I have been experiencing either a MIDI freeze or one or both ot the keyboards ( selected patches) start sounding unusually high pitch sounds like the Patches on each are "BAD".

At first I thought the condition only occured in venues where the voltage might be suspect. So I bought a Voltage regulator. I then though the external Fantom X Smart card with 64 custom patches was currupted. Now I don't know what to think.

Our band in playing live typically doesn't give much time between songs. therefore I am already moving one of the Keyboard (either the Triton or FX to the next song patch.

What gives..........what could be wrong. Sounds like the midi signal is being garbeled between the Roland and Triton.

Any sugestions.
