I am unsure how to assign my samples i use to my pads while i'm in live mode. I have been doing it for yrs now while in patch mode but now that i am learning to use live mode i'll load the samples to my pads like i always have and as soon as i leave live mode(switching from patch to performance in live mode) i lose all samples.Art kinda mentioned in an earlier post but i didn't understand what he meant and he never got back with me to try to explain it better for me.
Thanks Tim

When you are saving your samples, are you saving them to your Fantom memory card or are you saving them externally via to computer program?
Re: using pads in live mode
Thanks for the reply. I save them on my memory card and load them into the Fantom X-7's user memory. Then from there i assign them to the pads. Everything is good when I do this and only use them while in patch mode. When i am in performance mode i am unable to use them though but at least when i go back to patch mode, they are still saved to my pads. but whei I use my live setting mode, and am going between the favorites which might either be a patch or performance, i lose them and have to go through an re save them to the pads. EVERYTIME.

Some Tips:
*Go into your pad setting in Live Mode and patch mode and make sure that the note numbers are mapped correctly and corresponds to the right pads. It can also help if you Assign your samples to a patch.
*Use an INIT PATCH before you assign your samples. Name them, then write as a patch either to user memory or card.
*Write that Patch, then recall them in live or Performance mode and they should be in the right place.
*Make sure Samples load on Startup is selected too.
Hope this helps, as its just little things i have experienced.

Re: using pads in live mode
Hello,
Since you seem very experienced and know what you are doing, do you know the easiest way to lock the pads so it wont change no matter what performance you use?
Thanks
