Samples disappear going to Live play mode

I use alot of sampled stuff for songs on my x-7 and i load them and assighn them to the pads for easy access while playing. This is fine while in patch mode but when i go to performance mode i can't use them until i go back to patch mode. Now i was all geeked about learning how to use the live setting mode and spent 3 day organizing all my patches and performances. When i load my samples and start switching between favorites in live mode i totally lose my samples from the pads all together and have to reload them. Does anyone have a clue as to what might be going on? Thanks Tim

When you assign samples to the pads, the pads work in rhythm kit mode, and if you save the pad rhythm kit to the user bank, you can later on load that kit onto the pads in any other mode.

I guess i'm a little bit confused. Can you explain exactly how to do that?
