drum loops as backing part

Post by jsepeta »

is there any way to set up a simple 4 beat drum loop and play that in the background while I practice piano over it? i don't want to record a whole danged song -- i just want something friendlier than a metronome while I practice solos and develop songs in my head, not into the sequencer.

You can do what you want you want both in performance or patch mode.

Go to sequencer, hit REC, set a 4-bar record loop (Loop/Punch: LOOP (4 MEAS)), record your drum loop. Then hit STOP and hit F4 Loop to check if you have a INFinite loop from 1-01-001 to 05-01-001 beat locations (4 BARS). There you have it!
