It seems this question never gets answered around here!
I'm trying to make a full song out of the loops I created in mixer mode. I press song edit and tried the copy process that was suggested in the manual with no luck. The manual is very vague in this regard. Can the fantom not do this?
It seems ridiculous that no one even attempts to answer this question for people like myself who are trying to do this.
The help I seek is for someone to walk me and others through the steps so that we can understand and plus so the information to be out there forthers to learn from as well.
Also, I have noticed that in some videos that when some people record a sequence they press other buttons that makes the drum pads light to go off and then come back on before they go to the next part of the song they are creating.
This is so frustrating because no one is helping and this seems to be the only place on the Internet to get help from.

Re: Creating full songs help
Hi Primary!
I have attached a Fantom Workshop pdf file to this post that nicely lays out just how to use loops and/or patterns in your sequence. Please take a little time to read this as it will answer most of your questions. You can then post back if there is still something that is not clear, and hopefully myself or another forum member will be able to clarify things for you.
Hope that helps!

I read through the PDF file and it had some useful information, but it didn't answer my specific question.

Re: Creating full songs help
I have tried with no luck and this issue is reaylly ticking me off. I downloaded those other workbooks and they are of no help. The only think I've learned is the quick play option.
I sucessfully copied one track to the end of the track it was on and now I have extra drums and I'm thinking that I'm on my way to getting this issue resolved and I went ropy another track to extend it out some to see if I was doing it right and when I hit execute, I got nothing.
This is extremely frustrating and is greatly taking the value down for me. I really love the fantom but if I can't get this issue solved, then solved then I might as well get rid of it.
Can someone give me a real answer please?

Re: Creating full songs help
Those threads did help a little bit but it seems like doing this is going to be a very tedious process.
If the Fantom had a feature like the MPC where you have a different number of sequences (sequence 1, sequence 2, etc..) it would be better because you could then make different sequences and chain them together in song mode and save it that way as a wav or aiff file.
Am I missing something or is it really going to be that tedious a job?

I don't find it tedious.
Once you've done it a few times and get to know how it works it only takes a matter of seconds!
Just create 4 bars of something and practice copying it to its own track and to other tracks and you'll be sorted in no time
You can use different sequences (there called patterns) and then use RPS to chain them together but as Ive never used this method I don't know much about it
