TC I hear you about the SRX-02. I remember the first time I experienced it - off the then newly released XV-88. A fantastic piano. Even with the FXrack, I might look around for an SRX-02 on sale, just to get that piano. It is like the only one which doesnt have that artificially bright attack portion.

As if maybe someone listened to a Bill Evans record or something!

Wasn’t me. Hate to put someone else on the spot but for the record I plan on always pointing out when I did some cleaning around here and currently I really only have a problem with name-calling and personal attacks and last time I saw this thread it was not there yet but maybe that is where it went. I will try to control double posts as well, as those are annoying and can get confusing.

I will admit that the last couple of days around here have annoyed me because of all of the semi personal confrontation and generic name-calling. I don’t believe that there is a need to even call someone a moron or idiot around here even though that is not considered to be very harsh.

Some might think that I enjoy seeing 2TIM getting the brunt of some of this as well but that is not the case either.

Why should he then make nonsense comments like those, when in fact he does'nt even own a fantom period.At least that is what I read. If it were'nt for stupid stories and lies that people write, I would'nt write anything at all!! I would just be reading along trying to learn somthing useful. And there is!! BUT...... c'mon,, do you really believe that story, that he was playin the S for about 10 to 15 mins. thinking that it was an X?????? C'mon if you believe that then you really are a MORON!! And that is what I feel he's tryin to call me as a reader, like "Psh, I"ll write any Garbage, and these fools will believe it!" and that offends me when someone tries to insult other peoples intelligence.

If you ask me, I'm defending the rest of you!!! and you crucify ME!

You shouldn't take out the comments, when all I'm sayin is the truth. You should really take good look who's on your side!Thank God You guys are not in office or we'd all be in trouble!! Like I said IF he has the right to write nonsense, then we ALL should have the right to speak out against it! And that's exactlly what I did, he said something dumb, and I was there to let him KNOW, that not all of us are as dumb as he thinks. may you are, but I'm not!!!!

Septimo, you are a most unwelcome presence and most definitely in need of brushing up your expository skills. 2T is an accomplished professional musician with a fine CV whose observations have been an integral part of this forum since its' inception. While you technically have the right to say what you please, you will establish no credibility until you learn to speak your mind with grace and much more refinement.

As for your second paragraph, no one asked you, and your quote borders on blasphemous.

The charter members of this forum and those who have joined over the past year will tolerate you to a certain point, and beyond that have a hearty chuckle at your expense.

this forum has grown a good reputation amongst visitors because we tend to focus on the topic and focus on support - i.e. helping one another.

There's nothing wrong with debate either, and there's plenty of that, but unlike most other publically accessible forums like this, it tends to remain pretty civilized. If it doesn't, then as it is also a moderated forum it just tends to get deleted (as yours and mine may subsequently do).

Of course we fall out now and again, and yes people make dumb comments - but being dumb isn't a crime - though calling someone dumb can be. And of course we get visited occasionally by jerks who just want to be jerks instead of contribute.

But the moderators here have tended to be fairly ruthless. If it gets a little out of hand - wham, it's gone. And right or wrong doesn't enter into it. If the thread isn't helping people, and has decended into name calling and arguement, then both sides should get deleted IMHO.

There's plenty of other places people can mouth off if they want - let them go there instead.

Septimo, your tirades are relatively easy to comprehend, which is different from understanding.............no, I don't understand why you call 2T a moron in chat shout caps. And I don't know where you got the idea that I said you don't have brown nosing skills. Nothing in my text that says that.

And the people who ask questions here get quick, concise answers. No fuss, no muss. I don't detect a lot of people trying to stroke each other around here, but I have found that the initial tone that was created here seemed to created an earnest desire to keep it that level, even when we disagree. So that's what I mean when I refer to credibility.......sort of like visiting a new culture and blending with their traditions rather than raising hell. I'm not the final arbiter of this by any means, but I was very clear and still posture that 2T has spent his time here, paid his dues here and developed that credibility that I speak of. We have disagreed with each other on many occasions.

Like it or not, I want and need to hear when I'm full of crap. My wife (who is my best friend) is a master at it. She gives me humility and perspective when needed, and usually with grace and class. Same with a good friend, or a good boss, or just an acquaintance that we may never have seen, but developed and exchanged ideas with. That is credibility, and it cannot be bought or sold, nor is it carried with you.........it is given by others, based on their context, not yours, not mine. That is a universal truth.

Septimo - no, I didn't try to push on you if you know what I mean. It's just when you do not agree with somebody's opinion, try to be as soft as possible, or kep silence.

It is very, very easy to just let your anger out. And it's often hard to calm down and do it easily, politely.

I can't do it the other way, I learned and now I can. All my anger goes inverted into positive emotions which all ends up in tons of inspiration and unlimited creativity.


Now all go and write some music.

I rarely post much as my approach to the Fantom series and workstations in general is newbie all the way despite a pro background in early analog synthesis and electronic music.
Artemio's HOUSE O FANTOM is indeed a family of diverse Workstation MANIACS and offers fellowship,communion,great info,and generally does it in a respectful civil manner!
Septimo, I enjoyed your earlier discussions and understand how you can get too involved emotionally in discussions as I have sucummed myself in the past(with much less great info I might add and obvious experience);-).
