Tempo change

Post by Julio »

It seems that I can't find a simple answer to Tempo Change either.
I'm working on a medley, the first 2 songs are recorded at 198 tempo. I would like to change the tempo to 260 when I reach to bar 236 all the way to the end of the song. I believe that you have a similar situation. Were you able to find an answer to this?. I would appreciate very much if you can share any knowledge on this.
Thanks.

Hello Julio,

Welcome to the Clan. It is quite simple to do what you wish.

Go to bar 236 or any bar you wish to change the tempo at.
Select 'Song Edit'.
Select 'Micro Edit'.
From 'Track Select' increment up to 'Tempo' track. (right after Track 16.)

From there you can insert your Tempo change. I'm not at my Fantom X (assuming that is what you have), but you should be able to sort it out no problem. If there are further questions, please ask.

Tempo Change

Post by Julio »

Thanks Bassman,
Let me begin by saying that I use a Fantom XA. I tried what you suggested. I went up to bar 236 and follow the steps that you mention but the new tempo change is also applied to all bars before measure 236.
Any other ideas.
Thanks again.

Hi Julio!
I went up to bar 236 and follow the steps that you mention but the new tempo change is also applied to all bars before measure 236.
You must also create within your sequence an initial, or starting tempo. Follow the same steps as Bassman has outlined, only for the starting tempo at the beginning of your song, as well as the new tempo change at measure 236.

Hope that helps. Cheers!
