Does the Last version of Fantom X require the PC card adapte

I was wondering if the last version of Fantom X (with the audio track exp. already installed) requires a pc card adapter to use compact flash card... or if it's at least given with the Fantom (I know that the expansion kit bought separately has an included adapter).

You will need a PC card adapter. (it's not delivered with the fantom).

Most online pro gear stores sell them. You could try Sweetwater or Musician's Friend. I'm not endorsing these places. You can look on the web for more places that sell them.

I was thiking that maybe I could buy a 2GB Compact flash + the adapter instead of 1GB card (maximum possibile as written in the manual...). I read that other users are using the 2GB with no problems at all....
Maybe a problem could be the speed of data-trasnfer...?!?
Probably the smaller the card, the faster the transfer... or not?

As Compact Flash cards are fading off from market... you can find a PCMCIA SD card adapter and plug in a 4 or 8GB SD card..

This setup works for me fine..
