All my files have suddenly disappeared. HELP!!!!!

I did recall that. I meant that I back up to the memory card on the Fantom immediately after making any change to a patch, a performance or a song file. You can do either a full backup of the internal memory or use the file utility to copy the song file that you just worked on or the fans file.

In fact, when my Fantom's internal memory was messed up last week I did a backup to the card, then performed a factory reset and when that didn't work I restored from the backup. All that time I could still not read the card nor the internal memory through USB from my laptop. I was also able to read the card through a separate USB card reader which is why I suspected that the Fantom USB driver was the issue.

Ok, updated mantra: Always make a backup to a memory card!

That's exactly why I said I didn't think that his problem was related to a corrupt USB driver. You could not read your fantom internal or card memory through USB. With his issue, he was able to read the files through USB.

tjudge, I don't get this. I am telling you that I experienced the various things that the original poster experienced and noted in that first post. From that, however, you conclude that we actually experienced different things.

As with the original poster, my files also suddenly disappeared. Other than trying it with Vista, I experience all that the original poster reported in his first post on this thread. I don't get why there is a gap here but I don't want to take this thread off track so I will let it go.
